I haven't seen this fish for ages...

In our language (kayan), we call it 'deket', ('sucker' fish). And in this very particular river have 3 type of them..this one, and the other two, their body pattern is, black dot and stripe, and the body shape is like much longer than this one in the picture.

I grew up in a kampung which surrounded by dozen rivers, and the river was exactly like this..clear, undisturbed, full with fish and going for fishing in the river was never a problem...

Want to go for a picnic, you only need to bring your fishing net and your lighter...

For this experience, i realize, how we need to take care of our rivers. We really need to protect them and the species inside that river.

Before we ask the nature to take care of us...

we better respect the nature first

and take a good care of it..
